Our Soul's Desire

The ego is not the true you. The true you is your soul, which like the Light, only wants to share infinitely.

The ego and its selfish desires are not really ours.

We may think, “I want my money,” or “I want my soul mate,” or “I want this job,” or “I want to understand why this is happening,” or “I want an answer!”

But the real you – your soul – really just wants to share.

ENOUGH IS NEVER ENOUGH

I will not settle for less, in any area of my life. I want everything that is possible.
Healthy Mind, Body and Soul……………

I let go of any darkness and doubts that prevent me from having it all, including eternal happiness and peace on earth.
I release all the negative and toxic energy that has clouded my very judgment, I am pursuing peace and happiness and a balance life.
All things wonderful are possible, and I will make them a part of my daily existence.
Through The Power of Positive Thinking….

Extra Measures

Go the extra mile in everything you do.

When you feel you have shared enough, share a little more. When you feel you have worked enough, stay an extra 30 minutes and begin the work that will need to be done tomorrow. When you give charity, give a few dollars more than you had wanted.

Our ego does not like to take the extra measure. Whenever you feel as if you want to stop, quit, or even run away, that is the time you need to gather up more strength – because there is so much more Light to be had in that instant!

Don’t be afraid to go to bed a little exhausted tonight. You may feel tired, but you will feel immensely more victorious.

The Begining

My mother will say that I was born for a purpose, a blessed child.  She will tell you that after returning to Jamaica from England in 1972 she was seven months pregnant.  My mother will tell you that I was conceived in one country and born in another.  My mother would further say that on her journey home via a ship, she carried her Trans Atlantic baby.

My birth was just as unusual, I was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica I was a breached baby, I stayed exactly three days in St. Catherine and returned to my home Kingston, again proving once more that time and space are really a matter of variable.

I am Marcia Skervin James, the last child for James and Belvit Skervin.

I was age 16, when I began charity and volunteer work, at the time I worked closely with the citizens association in my community, I had an urge to serve, I found that giving of myself was one of the most fulfilling things, it is was the connectivity of life an opportunity to learn and grow.

I am on a journey, where the beginning is the end and the end is my new beginning.

A Thought

Are you bored with life? Then throw yourself into some work you believe in
with all your heart, live for it, die for it, and you will find happiness that
you had thought could never be yours.

Refuse to complain

Complaining is just a way of not taking responsibility, justifying doing nothing, and programming yourself to fail.  Complaining creates the illusion that you have done something.  Instead, pour your energy into improving your situation.  When you find ways to be productive and maintain a sense of optimism, you demonstrate that you are in control of your own life.

Complainers focus on what has happened, and give up their power.  Winners focus on making things happen, and using their power to find solutions to their challenges.

You were born to create something magnificent with your life!! Solution-based thinking gives you that power.   You deserve!!

Doubting Doubt

We teach that one of the most powerful tools to regain control our lives is having certainty in the Light. Certainty that no matter what is happening, the Light is there for us to connect to. For many of us, this is easier said than done. When doubts come in, it’s a challenge for all of us.

Here’s a great secret: Use your uncertainty to work for you, instead of against you!

Doubt your doubts!

When we doubt our own doubts, we can move forward with certainty. - Yehuda Burg

Value

Value is the worth or cost of a thing. There are many things in life that have value but there is no comparison to the value of time. Time, if gone, cannot be earned back where as all other things like money, respect, education can be earned. The value of time has to be realized by everyone and cherished. It would be appropriate to quote Scott Peck who said, “Until you value yourself you won’t value your time. Until you value your time you will not do anything with it “. Other things that have great value are friendship, compassion, love and success. It is crucial to know the value of each so that we can appreciate them and work hard enough to gain them. One who does not know the value is insane. Oscar wilde says, a cynic is the man who knows the price of everything but knows the value of nothing”.

Book Excerpt - Peace from Broken Pieces

Until and unless you know that you are enough just the way you are, you will always be driven to look for more. Knowing that you are enough is a function of consciousness. Your enough-ness develops in direct proportion to the relationship you have with your true identity. Until you wholeheartedly believe in your own worth, in spite of your accomplishments and possessions, there will be a void in your Spirit. I had more than a void. I had a gaping hole that no amount of achievement, money, or acknowledgment could fill. I'm not good enough, and I will never be good enough to deserve this kind of attention. It was the personal lie, the core belief running my show, encouraging me to blow up my life just to prove once and for all that I wasn't good enough to have or keep what was coming my way. There was a part of me that knew that I was on purpose, the same purpose the spiritualist had made me aware of so many years before—ushering other people on their spiritual journey. I wanted to do just that, be of service and support to others. There was, however, a part of me that refused to believe I could be that valuable.

After the fourth or fifth telephone call from the executive, I concluded that the offer warranted my attention. I knew there was a lesson I needed to learn, but I had no clue what it was. I decided to reengage my spiritual practice of prayer and fasting. I committed to pray and fast for seven days or until I got the direction I needed. The issue at hand was whether to stay at Harpo or leave and start my own show. My preference was to stay put, but I had that black hole in my Spirit to be filled.

On the sixth morning, I awakened with the thought, The time is now. I shot straight up in my bed and spoke aloud, "I am not leaving Harpo." As if someone were whispering in my ear, I heard it again, The time is now! Time for what? I concluded that the message meant that it was time for me to stand on my own. Then I came face to face with the belief that I was not good enough to stand on my own. That meant I was avoiding the offer because fear was driving my choice. But I really didn't want to leave Harpo; it was the opportunity of a lifetime. Why would I walk away from a blessing as huge as the one on my plate? Then I had one little egotized show me that I am good enough! thought. The thought was: Tell Oprah what is going on and ask her if she would be willing to back my show. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

A Dollar and Some Ambition by Jim Rohn

Each of us has two distinct choices to make about what we will do with our lives.
The first choice we can make is to be less than we have the capacity to be. To
earn less. To have less. To read less and think less. To try less and discipline
ourselves less. These are the choices that lead to an empty life. These are the
choices that, once made, lead to a life of constant apprehension instead of a life
of wondrous anticipation.

And the second choice? To do it all! To become all that we can possibly be. To
read every book that we possibly can. To earn as much as we possibly can. To
give and share as much as we possibly can. To strive and produce and accomplish
as much as we possibly can. All of us have the choice. To do or not to do. To be
or not to be. To be all or to be less or to be nothing at all.

Like the tree, it would be a worthy challenge for us all to stretch upward and
outward to the full measure of our capabilities. Why not do all that we can, every
moment that we can, the best that we can, for as long as we can?
Our ultimate life objective should be to create as much as our talent and ability
and desire will permit. To settle for doing less than we could do is to fail in this
worthiest of undertakings.

Results are the best measurement of human progress. Not conversation. Not
explanation. Not justification. Results! And if our results are less than our
potential suggests that they should be, then we must strive to become more
today than we were the day before. The greatest rewards are always reserved for
those who bring great value to themselves and the world around them as a result
of who and what they have become.

To Your Success,
Jim Rohn
